I have to share the story of my morning, it really put things in perspective of what people mean when they say, "the joys of motherhood!"
6:45am: Wake up get into the shower.
7:00am: Walk out of the shower, my hubby and princess are still sleeping!
7:05am: Wake Rob up and let him know he has about 20 minutes to get out the door to go to work.
7:30am: Rob has Belle dressed but she is screaming and comes to give me a kiss. He leaves.
7:35am: Calmed Belle down and finish getting myself ready (I have 10 minutes until I need to leave).
7:40am: I go out to the family room to get Belle, so we can brush her teeth and fix her hair for school. She corners herself inside her playhouse and is demanding to stay home.
7:45am: Manage to get stuck in Belle's playhouse trying to get her out. Get a text from Rob stating he forgot to pack Belle's breakfast.
7:50am: Finally get Belle to the bathroom to brush her teeth.
7:55am: Belle's teeth are brushed and hair fixed but she is screaming when I am putting her shoes and coat on!
8:00am: Manage to throw my lunch together, grab a breakfast cookie, and put together Belle's breakfast. We are out the door.
8:05am: Belle refuses to get buckled in her car seat and is very distraught over her baby doll being wet because it is raining and she drug her doll down the driveway to get into the car! I am able to get her buckled and we are off!
8:15am: Stuck in traffic because there was a wreck blocking the intersection! Belle has managed to unzip her lunch bag and dump half the cheeros out on the floor! While yelling at me to go, go, go!
8:25am: Able to drop Belle off at school and get her settled!
8:30am: Going to be late to work and had to take an unexpected detour because of construction.
9:15am: Walk into work and I am 15 minutes late and my new clients are waiting out in the waitingroom!
It is finally 11:30am and I am able to take a breath before working on the stack of paperwork to do! Looking back at the morning, I realize how lucky I am to have a family! Mornings like these make me laugh at the end of the day!
